The Water of Life
I don't claim to know whisky. In fact, I know very little. And this page is not, I repeat not,
any sort of formal "tasting". It is just impressions.
Also, please note that this is by no means all whiskys I've had. It is the ones that
I have so far written down anything about. More is comming...

Since I tasted the brilliant F&F 16YO Mortlach I've been slightly in love. Mortlash is simply a very good, complex Highland
whisky. This 21YO is my second bottle ever on shelf, which of course has me excited.
Hm... I have no idea what vintage this is, -85? Matured in first fill and refill sherry casks.
The nose opens up with water, from a rather closed fruit and oil scent to floral aromas, ripe fruit and sherry with spices
and oil. A lovely nose indeed! I could spend hours just sniffing this stuff. Palate with wood and oil and hints of sherry.
Smoke too. Semi-long ending with some more sherry, a little bitterness and some green leaves.
A very good dram.
