The Water of Life
I don't claim to know whisky. In fact, I know very little. And this page is not, I repeat not,
any sort of formal "tasting". It is just impressions.
Also, please note that this is by no means all whiskys I've had. It is the ones that
I have so far written down anything about. More is comming...

Name: 37 Years Old
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor & Co Ltd Bottled year: 1966 Age: 37 Years Rumblings:
Second whisky had at Torpshammar. Hat off to the kind owners, Joffe in particular, who in this - and other - ways entertained us royally.
Amber colour. Very sweet nose. Pears in sugar. Some distand rumbling of smokiness. Sherry. The palate is fresh and sweet.
Melon. Hints of salt. Some oak. And then lingering oak and sweet fruits.
Somewhat disapointing but only considering this is an Islay malt. Obviously the age have removed almost all smoke, but I had
hoped for something a little bit more challenging. A little bit too sweet.
But don't get me wrong. This is a wonderful dram.
NB: More details on cask number and strength to come. The whisky can be found here.
